I always enjoy 野火 parts. :slight_smile: This one made me wonder about the security in 春望’s group, though.

How 鈴 refused to tell 小夜 about her father made me a bit mad - why couldn’t she just simply refuse. It felt a bit like she was saying ‘telling you would make me feel bad, which is clearly more important than you feeling bad because you know nothing about your family’. I think I’m probably interpreting too much into this, and also forgetting to account for cultural differences.

In story, 鈴 really insisted that she didn’t know though. I couldn’t tell if 小夜 didn’t believe her just because she was upset and wanted to know, or if she sensed something from 鈴’s〈思い〉. It wasn’t clarified to my liking, but for me, it’s legitimately unclear if 鈴 knows or not.

From a narrative perspective, we all know from 獣の奏者 that this author loves to save some secrets for the very end! :sweat_smile:
