I would recommend the short story 羊男のクリスマス by Haruki Murakami. It is an easy, fun read. Plus there is a lot of dialogue and the cute illustrations help you to understand the story.
The bilingual books? I actually don’t remember where I bought them, but all the ones I have were published by Tuttle - you can buy directly from their website, or Amazon stock them too.
They exclusively publish books on Asian language, culture, history and so on, in English, rather than being a general multi-language/culture publisher.
just checked and am sorely tempted by ‘my first book of tagalog words’
