What's your review slaying soundtrack?

I have a study playlist but usually I just listen to whatever I got stuck in my head that day. I need music to cancel all background noises so I can focus better.
For years there’s been an annoying construction site near my place, soooo. For that reason I also got in-ear buds.

Here’s a song I listen to a lot at the moment:

Haha there’s no way I could have broadway on without singing along

I kid you not. Though to be honest, music in general helps, so sometimes it’s power metal, sometimes techno-ish stuff, sometimes Eurobeat/hi-NRG stuff, sometimes video game OSTs.

I usually listen to the Mitchiri Neko March… I am a simple being amused by simple things.

Oh!

Nothing.

I’ll put music on at work if I’m doing some really mindless / tedious / repetitive task that would otherwise put me to sleep. But for anything where I really want to think and focus - silence.

Definitely silence. I have a big focus on pitch accent / pronunciation, so for vocab I’ll always pronounce it first, then the pitch accent pattern, then the meaning (not necessarily in that order!). I also often spam the J key to hear the audio file over and over while saying it. I love music, but I would get too distracted (I’m the kind of person who hears music in the background and tunes into that instead of the conversation haha).

Seconding this. Massive fan of Nujabes and Shing02, especially the Luv(sic) tracks.

That’s the kind of stuff my wife listens to when she works on art, etc.

Almost always vocaloid music, but it ends up distracting me because with a lot of songs I get too into listening to the song and then I get distracted and then decide that I need to check something on discord “right this moment”.

My “get busy” playlist has a lot of Underworld in it - Jumbo, Juanita : Kiteless : To Dream Of Love, Rez, and Cowgirl. Insistent but not overwhelming beats with long instrumental stretches, just the ticket! I haven’t seen much like it mentioned in this thread so I hope you enjoy this!

Anything instrumental and relaxing, really.

What better way to study 日本語 than listening to japanese music!

I love both of these songs
All of Eve’s and ナナヲアカリ’s music is amazing

I listen to “general kids’ noise” by “my crazy kids”. Set to repeat. I’ll admit the crescendo can be distracting at times.

If I do listen to anything while doing reviews, it has to be in Japanese. My favorite Japanese language album is ただいま by Akiko Yano.
