i saw it happen quite a few times, where sometimes levels seem to be bunched like the radical on the right, but mostly they stay like the radical on the left. both of them are of the same level(4) and were done at the same time, and both still have 3 reviews remaining before guru, so what is the point of this, am i missing something?

nope. never had any. closest thing i can think of is extensions. so here’s a list of my currently active ones:
i am not bothered by this in any way, i was just genuinely wondering maybe i didn’t know about a certain mechanic or something. at first i thought it was the srs system that maybe detected you were doing extremely well with a certain radical/kanji/vocab so it would group 1 correct attempt as actually 2, but then i noticed that they still have the same 5 levels to reach guru so that wasn’t it.

Maybe it has to do with some zoom-factor of the browser or windows itself which gives a rounding error in the rendering that results in the two lines blurring together?
