Am I really messing up?..
jo, not jiyo. notice how the ‘yo’ is littler in the correct than in your answer?
It’s じょ (jo) not じよ (jiyo). Small ょ.
Edit: Damn ninjas
How do you add the smaller characters?
It does it on its own. Just, instead of typing “jiyo” you type "jo"
ji = じ
jo = じょ
jiyo = じよ
ooooooooooooooooooh, learned something new today
If you’re new you should read through the FAQ, it answers this as well as other common first time problems. https://www.wanikani.com/faq
you’ll also see little つ characters, which elongate the following character.
natto = なっと
natsuto = なつと
Though if for the rare occasion you do need to manually type it, typing ‘x’ first should make it a smaller character (xyo = ょ, xtsu = っ). I have very rarely ever needed to do this and never on wanikani.
Not really new, it’s just that I was so used to write everything out syllable by syllable @_@ and din’t know that you could just go straight to a single syllable. I’ll take a look at i!
