What is the meaning of しっかりしなさい?

My grandmother, who was raised by her Japanese grandmother, is searching for the meaning of しっかりしなさい。

I found some answers online, but she didn’t quite think they matched up to her opinion of it’s meaning. She said that whenever she would hesitate before doing something, her grandmother would tell her しっかりしなさい.

Does it simply mean “to be firm?”

Isn’t it something like “Get your act together”?

I think something like “Pull yourself together” or “Get it together” ?

I tend to think of it as “Keep it together (you can do this)”. Same idea as the above responses.
