Hello, i’m sorry i’m a bit disoriented with the new system, and i have a bug question: my writing in reviews has turned to katakana and my answers are refused, how do i bring it back to hiragana?
It’s not about “CAP LOCK” on?
That sounds like your CAPS lock is on on your IME.
You don’t need the IME on to type into WaniKani - it has it’s own internal IME.
If not your CAPS lock, are you holding the SHIFT key? Same problem.

I didn’t install any IME yet, i just type the english and WK turns it to hiragana
Are you sure you’re not hitting SHIFT or the Caps Lock? If it’s not that, I am very confused on your behalf.
yup pretty sure… I’ve just sent a message to Hello@wanikani, hopefully there’ll be a response soon, i’ve lost the right answers on two kanjis because of this and will probably delay my leveling up 
and by the way on the subject, what’s the problem with the typing the readings in katakana in the first place, they should be accepted as well, i sure would love to practice katakana this way because it’s less used than hiragana

That I can’t answer.
However there are (and you’ve probably already come across some of them) vocabulary words that are in partial katakana + kanji… and to make sure you know it, that has to be answered in hiragana.
(ie: スペイン語、ハート形 )

There is Userscript, Katakana Madness. Maybe you should try it.

The mixed ones all allow mixed-kana, or hiragana only. Which is good, cause the Android app I use refuses to type katakana in its custom override IME.
