If you have a question about grammar, vocab, the story, cultural things or anything else related to the book — ask! There’s no need to be shy. If it’s something you are wondering about, chances are someone else will be thankful you asked first, lots of people enjoy answering questions, you learn something new, and the thread gets more lively. It’s a win-win on all fronts!

I still regularly get caught out when first encountering new character names. A couple of pages later I realise they are names, reread their initial introduction and the sentence of mystery words suddenly makes complete sense.
I think I need to update my lookup strategy.

I am really bad at finding the ending page
is it until 第 二 話 『テケテケさま』 ? or is it to the 「ぼーん……ぼーん……」 と繰り返していた 了)

The second one! 了 marks the end of the story.

This has mostly gotten better for me with reading practice, but I still sometimes am like omg what is this mystery word! Then realize it’s a name and have to reread the section
You are not alone!

Yeah me too. Why is this word not in the dictionary??? Ooh, it’s a name….and I was told it a page or two ago

You are not alone. Even kindle’s in-built translator keeps translating 高階 with ‘the high-ranking officials’, which of course doesn’t make any sense. jisho knows the correct reading (among many others) when you specify that it is a name:

Got a little behind this week because I was focusing on some other books, but just read the section! I liked this week’s story, now we know exactly what happens at 4:44… and we also know the answer to our confusion from last week: the clock does ring 44 times

Eek I just finished and that was definitely a bit spooky! Of course it would be even spookier if I were a kid, as intended, but it still had me really intrigued and on the edge of my proverbial seat (aka: my bed)
