I wish the rest of the book had been this spooky :ghost:.

My last-minute wild guess is that the fisherman and/or his son are the murderer(s). They seem like the kind of random characters that mystery authors want the audience to forget about.

I was half right. The rest of chapter 9 was mostly discussing possibilities. But I was wrong in that another person died. The doctor in training of all people. He was going up my suspect list to be honest with all the poison related deaths…
Depending what exactly happened in part 10 with the grunts and noises before the fire breaks out there might be even more deaths that have already happened.


The underground secret room was a nice reveal. I think the person they found down there explains where the 庭師 vanished to. That would mean all of the people of the blue residence murders would be accounted for and dead.

As a guess i think it is pretty solid. I wouldn’t have a motive for them at this point in time. Doesn’t mean it isn’t right, there might be some relevation waiting for us there.

I’m personally also still suspicious of chioris real father. He being mad that his daughter died is good motive

I found it interesting that we STILL have 0 idea of any of the real names of the group on the island. I half expect there to be a clue in the surviving people’s names as well.
