I don’t see this thread every week but I do reply when I notice.
At first it seems like nothing’s changed. Then after a while you notice you swim a little better. If you keep training and eating the Devil Vegetables, eventually you become one with the water, granting you immense speed when submerged fully.

I might have bought a race car last week and that’s why I picked that word. I’m getting more comfortable with the clutch now but it’s a powerful little gas pedal.

The only wrestling thing I know is one of the ones from a meme on Reddit. The guy who was thrown off of hell in a cell.
I don’t think I finished that. It had some episodes out when I saw it but not the whole season.
This week’s word is inspired by a recent (to me) chapter in my latest manga read: Witch Hat Atelier. I just started it a week ago and I’m already on volume 7.

Up is one of my favorite Pixar movies! Definitely a strong entry in the “found family” genre. Give it a watch sometime!

Not sure if this falls within the rules, because the kanji are different, but here goes:
無線 musen wireless (as in ‘radio’ - important hobby for me)…
I’m as loosey goosey with the rules as I am with my (very consistent) schedule posting this every Wednesday. But different kanji is fine. You can find an association whether it’s English or Japanese.
I had the physical metal wires in mind since that’s something my work uses, but this is wireless signal. Interesting that it’s different kanji and it’s not 無針 or something. Do you have a favorite JP radio station?
No, not yet, anyway - I bought a used Japanese domestic market smartphone ahead of my upcoming trip, Sony Xperia 1 V, which actually has a built-in FM radio receiver controlled by an app, and I plan to give it a workout when I’m there - and yes, there is also streaming radio, which I will also be checking out…
But the main focus of my hobby interest is actually what is referred to as: アマチュア無線 or ‘amachua musen’ - that is, “amateur radio” a.k.a. “ham radio” (although I also am interested in broadcast radio, including shortwave radio broadcasting)
