Underrated part of WaniKani is how many sentences you never thought you’d ever read in your entire lifetime you happen to casually come across. Legendary mnemonic notes here. As of right nyaow this is my favorite on the whole site.
Open to other top-tier entries if you guys have any standouts- less context the better.
That’s part of why I stuck to Wanikani and why I actually like this product: in a world of either asepticized “Apple-type” platforms or bullshit “trendy latest meme - Company as a person” marketing campaigns, having a certain personality to the product is a big plus. Language learning doesnt have to be boring or unfunny, it has to be the opposite tbf.
And for people who think it doesnt matter, receiving my postcard and funny stickers from my Lvl 5 graduation from the staff felt very special to me, and I will remember it for a long time. Motivation and “meaning” within a hobby helps keep at it.
