Started doing my reviews today and realized that all the Kanji looked just slightly off. After looking more I came across the 涙 Kanji rendering like the image below and that’s what confirmed something was definitely wrong
For some reason WaniKani started using a Chinese font instead of a Japanese one, and refreshing the page and logging out and back in did not fix it. I tried disabling the Double Check userscript (as it’s the only one I have installed) and that fixed the problem, but now I’ve re-enabled Double Check again and the problem did not return. All the fonts are back to normal now and I can’t get it to render as Chinese anymore no matter what I try.
Anybody have any guesses as to what might have happened there?
