Don’t you think that given the fact that you’re teaching language learners, the alternative definition and primary one ought to be switched? Even in normal circumstances, it’s more common to use it referring to communication. For learners of japanese, I imagine that’s going to be all the more the case, so in terms of practicality it makes sense

They could blacklist the others (as they already do in other cases, like for instance “east” not being considered as a typo for “west” and vice-versa).
Also honestly I doubt that there’s any real danger of somebody seing 一ヶ月 and thinking “oh yeah, 7 months”.
Communication is included in the explanation of the word, so that’s something

I saw, but thought that it could still be improved. The definition most users are going to answer with and remember is the primary one. At least that’s how I was.
Were the updates done in multiple batches? For some reason, I got the first five lessons last night and the last two lessons this morning. Normally, the content updates have been done in a single batch.
This week’s updates seem to be happening gradually, too. I just saw a single new vocab appear, and then a second one a while later.

I don’t know about this time lag thing. It’s still the 13th here
紫: I think it would be good if there were a couple words around the same level to help us remember the on’yomi reading (し) of the kanji. Maybe bring https://www.wanikani.com/vocabulary/紫外線 down? Otherwise you have to wait 20+ levels to get to vocab with the on’yomi reading after learning the kanji.

Unrelated but I just noticed that 稼 is taught with the onyomi but only the kun is used in vocab.
May I suggest adding 珈琲 as a vocabulary word? I’ve seen it on the signs of some coffee shops in Japan and even though it’s not the most common way to write coffee, I see it often enough in real life that I think it may be worth teaching
Neither of these kanji are currently on WK though and I would argue that there are plenty of much more useful and common Kanji that could be added before those. Of course that’s very subjective and if you happen to spend a lot of time in Japan desperately trying to satiate a caffeine addiction maybe those are worth learning indeed.
More generally if WK decides to go down the rabbit hole of less-common-but-still-regularly-used kanji for produce and animals they will have to add a couple dozen levels more I’m afraid…
