I have no idea what kind of statement you’re trying to make by just repeating my words with an air of incredulity. Maybe I’m just being presumptuous or annoyingly pedantic, that seems to happen a lot. But the way you’re framing your responses doesn’t make them seem terribly good faith.

I’m curious about one of the new example sentences
莉子は、瑠璃色のワンピースを着て諒一郎との待ち合わせ場所に現れた。
which is translated as
Riko showed up with Ryoichiro at the meeting place, wearing a bright blue dress.
Is it not the 待ち合わせ場所 that’s 諒一郎との? As in she showed up at the 場所 where she’s supposed to 待ち合わせる with 諒一郎 rather than showing up together with him?

I never said anything about that kind of nuance though. I agree that SRS systems are inherently bad at teaching nuance of the kind you’re referring to — I’ve stated this multiple times, though not in this particular thread.
The word gloss, which I use extensively and which literally means “rough or brief translation of a term”, implies within itself that the actual keywords being used in WK (which should be the focus here, because barely anyone remembers the nuance they talk about in the explanation by the time it gets burned) are inherently imprecise.
The question is really “is it (the nuance, or meaning, or whatever you want to call it) different enough to warrant a different gloss”, not “are nuances generally not to be explained”.
Alrighty, that’s just baiting. Time to give this conversation a breather.

This was apparently off-topic. In any case, the decision of whether to merge 痛める with 傷める is up to the WK team. If they do end up merging them, that’ll be a boon for two of my annoying leeches, at least. I hope I didn’t annoy anyone too much over the course of this thread.

Keep in mind that if you ignore people, you may occasionally see awkward situations where people seem to be talking to themselves. Up to you to decide whether it’s worth it.
You can also mute a specific topic of course, though sometimes you may still want to follow a topic even when it goes on a tangent for a bit. It’s annoying, but it happens. (I’ll be honest, I was very close to muting this topic due to this back and forth discussion.)
