This week’s additions and movements are live!

Added

  • Level 15: 乗客 (じょうきゃく) - passenger
  • Level 29: 豚カツ (とんかつ) - tonkatsu
  • Level 35: 自撮り (じどり) - selfie
  • Level 37: 抱っこ (だっこ) - holding in one’s arms
  • Level 45: 献立 (こんだて) - menu
  • Level 52: 綾取り (あやとり) - cat’s cradle

Moved

  • Level 60: 囚 (kanji) - moved down to level 39 as it is very simple visually, and the related vocabulary is reasonably common.
  • Level 60: 囚人 (しゅうじん) - moved down to level 39.
  • Level 60: 死刑囚 (しけいしゅう) - moved down to level 39.

After this update was pushed, when I go into my lessons I just get a blank screen. I’ve tried in multiple browsers with various extensions but still get the same result. Also, in the Flaming Durtles app its showing that I have no lessons even though on the wanikani webpage it’s showing that I have two lessons to complete.

Edit: Its been fixed

Ooh maybe I’ll take a passenger tonkatsu selfie while holding the menu in my arms when I go get lunch tomorrow. :ramen: Can do cat’s cradle with the ramen noodles too.

Hi Jenny! :hugs:
When reviewing 豚カツ I get the reading wrong if I type the 豚 in hiragana and the カツ in katakana. Is this due to something fuzzy on my end or the mixed kana answer is not a potential reading?

Hi Roberta! Thanks for pointing this out. This looks very much like a mistake on our (my😅) end. I just added the とんカツ reading so hopefully it will work now. Let me know if it doesn’t!

制 has “knives” with a typo in the meaning mnemonic, is this because the radical is knife and it’s trying to use that or is it an actual typo?

I think it might have been intentional but I’ve changed it to knives to avoid any doubt :slight_smile:

Can you add “loyal” to the vocab 忠? It currently only accepts “loyalty”.

I feel like rendaku after ん is a given, but I suppose they should try to keep up the standard of always mentioning it

用心棒 doesn’t mention rendaku either
