Thanks for the Tips and insight. I noticed myself, despite being just at lvl 7, that I sometimes just want to go as fast as possible and with that then not fully reinforcing the vocab correctly and getting it wrong again the next time.
After a leave out of country, I’m now stuck with 500+ reviews that I first have to work off before moving on again on the vocab. I think despite not being lvl 10 yet, I’ll try to slow down a little to get into a more even pace, keeping your recommendations in mind 
I think for most newcomers, its just not always easy, because you just want to be able to read/speak/listen to japanese as quick as possible haha
I always try to recall the tough times I had sometimes when I learned English back in school oO (ドイツ人です)
I like doing this always in the bus. Just rattling some vocab off the list while wait for my stop
