At an early learning stage anything that exposes you to Japanese vocabulary is great,
and it’s best to learn kana, some kanji and some basic grammar. You seem to be doing that already: great job!

Wanikani teaches some vocabulary, for Kanji re-enforcement.
The number you should take on per day, depends on your study hours and your goals.
If you can do some study every day, 5 new vocab words or expressions a day will get you a long way in a few months. If you have a lot of time and focus, that could be multiplied by 3 or 4 in the same time. I would start with the lower number, especially while you are active with other study goals. Regular practice is the key.
Eventually we want to engage in native content (or graded readers first to get there).
Irodori has free courses not focused on, but covering N5 and N4 and includes listening and shadowing practice.

You can study all of those factors on renshuu.org

Listening questions are a pro feature iirc, but vocab, kanji, and grammar can all be done there and there are native grammar lessons that cover N5-4. N3 is in progress last I checked. The discord also has group lessons and voice chat sessions.
