While I now feel very comfortable reading manga thanks to WaniKani, it is clear that kanji from higher levels appear less frequently than those from the lower ones, and I often confuse rare similar symbols.
On the other side, studying sessions became some sort of a habit So I even miss them in my free time I keep investing some 20 minutes in the morning and other 20 before going to bed.
The truth is that I’m going at a slower pace but enjoying more my japanese journey without the pressure of finishing every level on a weekly basis
Of course, I’m completely aware this is not the end… I frequently forget burnt symbols which I took for memorized But well, this is time for reading already.
While I don’t expect to return to the forums so frequently, I’ll try to update the Manly Racers table sometimes as my burned items rise.
For now, I’ll update the Similar Kanji List, that has been growing steadily
Well… Vanilla means not using plugins, scripts or third-party apps. I don’t intend to “cheat” WK for some evil reason .
The “lookup window” is just a strategy to reach Guru for your current Level Kanji… That’s just one from many ways to go fast (If you don’t learn them, they will inevitably go down to apprentice again).
This strategy worked wonders for me
I expect it will be fine for most people with similar objectives. The decision of using this (or any other method) It’s up to you
