[Userscript] Wanikani Review SRS/Level Indicator

Version 1.4 brings us extra self-shaming!

Hover over the indicator button to see how long ago you learned an item and cry if need be.

Anyone think this needs to be included next to the SRS indicator or is a hover effect sufficient?

I try to keep my hands on the keyboard during reviews with the odd exception of not being able to read a certain kanji cause of the jitai script, so personally I would prefer it to be visible without having to hover, but it's already a nice bonus.
Thanks for the update!

Any reason you know why I would see ā€œLevel undefinedā€ whenever I hover over the SRS level indicator?

Not a clue. It's showing up just fine for me.

It has always been that way for me. On every item. Very strange.

Are you sure you have the latest version installed? Try reinstalling and see if anything changes.

Again today I askā€¦ Where have I been that I didnā€™t see this??? Downloaded!

Iā€™ve actually stopped using this script since I noticed it was detrimental to my learning process.

When I encounter a kanji I sometimes wonder if itā€™s a new one or if itā€™s an old one that looks similar to one of the new ones. This script then gices me that information, which helps me figure out the correct answer. However, the end goal for me is of course to not need such assistance, and thus I decided to stop using it.

Just my personal reasoning.

Just installed this script. But, buggedā€¦

For some reason, ā€œA bit offā€, ā€œMultiple meaningsā€ dialog stopped appearingā€¦ So, I shall disable this for now.

BTW, can you make it more concise or move the indicator to the top, like ruipgpinheiro 's version? (Which is no longer supported)

Safari/Tampermonkey/Mac

where did you get the WaniKani PokĆ©mon Edition? this sounds funnyā€¦

That was a script I wrote forever ago, when WK had itā€™s own forum instead of discord: [Userscript] WaniKani - Pokemon edition

Thatā€™s cool, I never saw that before

Oh wow, this script is old with so little love. I just found this recently, and I absolutely love it!
Iā€™m glad it is still functioning, cause I find knowing where it is to be a good indicator to know. I guess it tells me how deep to dig, short term or long term memory

Is there a way to ā€œreverseā€ the level number and level progress indicators? Currently on hover it shows the level number, but I would like it to show the level number by default and on hover have the circles display. :slightly_smiling_face:

I know this thread is over a year since its last post. I love this little script, and hadnā€™t realized how much Iā€™ve come to rely on it until I realized itā€™s no longer showing up in my reviews.

Is there anyone else in this thread, or reading this now, who has also noticed the indicators have disappeared from their review screens?

Same issue here. Hopefully an alternative or fix is up in the works.

Really miss those little, colored dots.

Works fine for me. What browser and script manager are you using?

Firefox (105.0.3, latest) and Tampermonkey (4.18.0).
Wanikani Open Framework also up-to-date at 1.0.59.

I tested this script with a similar setup and also did not notice any issue. Can you look through the suggested steps listed in this guide and see if any of those lead to more information for finding the problem?

Thanks for the link! Since the script is supposed to fire when Iā€™m doing reviews, Iā€™ll report back after I have some.
