[Userscript] WaniKani Part-Of-Speech

goranbr said... TOTAL AWESOMENESS!!!

I have been doing this manually for every vocab and kanji up till now.  I
Perhaps I will sometimes enter my own Meaning notes, but this is so nice to have readily available.

Have many levels does it cover? All 50?

/Goran
It covers all 50. It may not cover some words if they aren't within Edict, though.

This is seriously awesome dude, thanks a lot.

One suggestion I can think of (not really essential though): Implement support for suffixes like this one (I guess just checking for the tilde and then using the suffix definition in EDICT is enough?)
https://www.wanikani.com/level/50/vocabulary/%E3%80%9C%E4%BA%AD

Obviously it’s clear that it’s a suffix, but EDICT still has a more detailed list of meanings than WK anyhow

Took me a while to figure out that I  had to install Greasemonkey first, though.

Perhaps a little hint about this in your instructions could help people who are as slow on the uptake as me…

Or even a little link (for Firefox users at least)…

Ah, of course! I have updated the instructions.

That's up to the developer of WaniKani Improve. I certainly wouldn't mind it being integrated.

Fantastic! Thanks so much for your hard work. I’m excited to try it out

Nice! I really like it

Wow. You need to be part of Sect Awesome or Amazing or something like that.

Great job!

Thanks so much for this excellent tool.

Thank you again for another great script! It makes this site so much better!

Thank you for this script. I’ve integrated it into WK Mobile and it works really well, so I’ll publish the new APK if it’s ok for you.
Just one question: did you have to ask edict.org for authorization before distributing the script?

Lately ive been thinking about this, thanks for making !

Awesome! Thanks for integrating it :)

It can be freely used as long as you acknowledge that the data was obtained from EDICT. See http://www.edrdg.org/jmdict/edict.html and http://www.edrdg.org/edrdg/licence.html.

EDICT can be freely used provided satisfactory acknowledgement is made in any software product, server, etc. that uses it. There are a few other conditions relating to distributing copies of EDICT with or without modification. Copyright is vested in the EDRG (Electronic Dictionary Research Group). You can see the specific licence statement at the Group's site.

Dude, this is really hella useful. Officially switching over to Firefox for all my wanikani-ing so I can use this script. I’m a little late to this party, but bumping for everyone else to see this again.

Thanks :) although the script also works with Tapermonkey on Google Chrome, so you have a few browser choices.

Yeah, I'm trying to resist giving too much of my life to Google:) Call me paranoid; I can't help but feel there is something lurking under their shiny exterior.

Did you take all ur scripts down?  I reinstalled windows and I’m reloading all my scripts and nothings loading from ur links.

userscripts.org is down

http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/userscripts.org.html

This is why I have all my scripts backed up at https://greasyfork.org/

userscripts.org seems to be back up and running now.
