[Userscript] WaniKani Item Annotator (Super Duper Explosions of Colortastic Flavors!)

LOL, nope.

See here: /t/Trying-to-find-a-userscript/4137/6

My source was random insanity. :stuck_out_tongue:

No luck with this one. Page looks the same as before, I checked the API key and I tried disabling all other scripts and also removing and reinstalling it. Chrome Version 32.0.1700.107 m

OK it should be fixed now, try updating.

Keep in mind it might take a few seconds for the colours to appear (especially on vocab pages).

Works like a charm. I’ve got a lot of purple :stuck_out_tongue:

I just downloaded the latest version of your script. The script runs with the correct API key but my pages still aren't exploding with colors. :(

Chrome 32.0.1700.107
Tampermonkey 3.6.3737.80

 Works now.

Hmm, I wonder why my other userscripts update automatically, but I had to do this one manually…

 Works now. :) Thanks!!

It only works if you load the page by https, otherwise you get a

XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://www.wanikani.com/api/v1.2/user/-api-key-/kanji. No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘http://www.wanikani.com’ is therefore not allowed access.

I’m not too fussed about the HTTPS issue, as HTTPS will be forced soon anyway.

If you still have issues after the HTTPS upgrade, let me know.

Does anyone have a mirror for this since userscripts has died and I really want this script?

ありがとうございます!

where am I supposed to enter my API key? I’m using Tampermonkey on Chrome and I don’t see it…

EDIT: never mind i figured it out.

Heya, I was just installing some new userscripts and this one doesn’t seem to be working…

Is anyone else unable to download? I’d like to try it out, it looks pretty neat ^^

Userscripts.org shut down ages ago, a read-only mirror was created in it's place.

Hm… I got it installed but having trouble with where to put the API. It says it should pop up and ask me to input or something, but nothing did.

Bump

Can anyone get this script to work? (script available via the userscript mirror link) I think it was the change from entering your APi to the script grabbing your API that messed it up?
Or are you still about Jeshua?

I'll take a look at it

EDIT: this is really really fun! It even uses an external library and a custom API library from OP. #greattimes
