[Userscript] Self-Study Quiz

I installed everything as it said here, but the quiz won’t open for me when I click on it on the dashboard. What do I do? (My open framework is up-to-date and all.)

Open the Javascript console (press F12 and click on the Console tab), and post any errors you see there.

Edit: Do you see a menu item for Self-Study in the WK user menu?

I see a menu item for Self-Study, but clicking it does nothing.

Ahh, I see the problem.
Go to [this page] and click on the “Generate a new token” button under the Personal Access Tokens section. Then, when you head back to the dashboard, it should start working.

Thank you! Glad you COUGH DIDN’t NOTICE MY OTHER OPEN TABS

Could you add a step to Open Framework that will ask to redirect you to the API key page if you don’t have an API key already? This came up earlier in the week too and I think it will be more common now that an API key isn’t created for you by default.

The self-study quiz sub menu panel does not appear on my screen any more. It was working fine yesterday.

If I click on “open” or “settings”, nothing happens. The self-study quiz option does not appear.

Looks like they made another site change to allow the menu to scroll. And in the process, it’s clipping the popup menu so it’s not visible.

I’ll see what I can come up with…

Open Framework menus are fixed again.

Excellent! Confirmed working now. Thanks for your super quick response.

For the purpose of “leech training”, I chose English To Japanese, leech score 1.0 and all items from Apprentice 4 and higher. It is helpful to be forced to produce the reading by looking at the English translation. I’m going to run through it two or three times per day.

Thanks for the fix!

I use Open Framework v1.0.44 but the menu became blank. Is it conflicted with @Kumirei 's show level userscripts? cc @seanblue :woman_shrugging:

I don’t expect my script to cause any issues for other scripts. It only adds one element next to the “levels” element and some CSS

You mean this menu?

I’m also using Open Framework v1.0.44, and it’s working for me in Chrome and Firefox.
v1.0.43 and earlier were broken yesterday due to another WK site change, but v1.0.44 fixed that (supposedly).
What browser are you using?
Could you check the Javascript console for errors? (Press F12 and click on the Console tab).

I’m thinking she means the Header because it’s blank on her screenshot

Safari. Yes, the header as @GrumpyPanda said correctly.

I’m not sure if this one is the one you want though.

After:

Ahh, okay.
I’m able to replicate this in Safari.

It seems like a rendering bug in Safari, because if you resize the window at all (which forces it to redraw), it renders okay. It doesn’t seem to be related to the actual window size.

Also, I noticed that every 2nd time that I open Self-Study, it appears correct.
It’s still possible that it’s related to something that Open Framework does when closing menus after clicking on the Self-Study link. I can check it in a few days, but I have to work 14hrs today.

I’m considering augmenting this with a source for all JLPT vocabulary (to add to what Wanikani already has). What exactly would be involved? Does it already handle the SRS piece?
