First thank you for much, this Add On has been a great help for me!
Would you consider adding the +Anki feature from the immersionkit website ? It would allow us to create a anki card from the anime sample and be able to review the whole sentence.
Wonderful! I have firefox and can confirm that I can reclick the audio icon and listen as many times as I want. Thank you!
In an effort to not completely ignore your question, Iâll just say that I have no intentions on adding this feature.
I personally havenât used Anki in a very long time, and therefore it is not a priority for me. Furthermore, there would be no way to fit it into the UI in a way that wouldnât modify existing behavior.
Not to mention that it would not be a simple feature to build, and I donât have the kind of spare energy for something like that these days.
Perhaps, if the API ends up with a feature that allows filtering to a specific entry, I could work out a link that would open the Immersion Kit page for that entry. But thatâs probably the extent of what Iâm willing to do in that regard. And that assumes that API feature is present.
I installed the script but I get the notice âRetry limit reached. No sentences found.â for the word 常ăŤăActually all Wanikani words and kanji report this message. I guess I am doing something wrong. Can anyone suggest a fix for my setup. Thanks.
If you get this error, you can try a few things:
- Check the entry on Immersion Kit to make sure that itâs not a server issue.
a. If it fails there, thereâs nothing anyone can do until they fix it. - Increase the number for the setting for Fetch Retry Count to be higher.
a. Or adjust the delay/retry count settings until you find a sweet spot
b. That being said, if it doesnât work on the first try, then itâs usually still a server issue thatâll be resolved eventually - Try out the unreleased update, and alternate between API v2 and v1 to see which works.
Hi. I did 1 & 2 and it did not help. I did #3 and restarted Chrome and it is now working. I am not not sure which was effective, but thanks for the assistance. I am going to ignore my lessons and try to increase my Burned kanji and vocabulary by listening to the media context sentences. I hope this will help my retention.
Thank you for putting so much work into your script and for sharing it with others.
