I had intended to keep this for friends only, but it has been requested more than once that I make it available so I suppose I should.

This is a userscript which makes it possible to make the level flair of users a rainbow.

Why

How to use

When the script is running it will add a button to users’ user cards which says “Toggle Rainbow!”. Press this button to add or remove the rainbow flair from the user.

Furthermore you can change the colors of the rainbow by changing out, removing, or adding colors in the constant at the top of the script.

Crazy request but…

is it possible…
to make a script…
where the rainbow flair is… temporary?
Like I would love to have a rainbow flair that activates automatically, but only for like a day, and only when I level up.

Somehow this script was causing some really weird bugs for a while, please have a look here.

Weird Discourse Bugs

Hello! Has anyone else been having weird Discourse issues? For starters my home button hasn’t worked in a long time, it just doesn’t do anything. Sometimes however, when I right click it and press “open in new tab”, it actually does go to the homepage in the new window, which means the link is in there. Furthermore, if I press a notification that leads me to a different thread than the one I’m in, it puts me at a completely different place from where the like of response was. When I press the…

Turning this script off has resolved them.

Sounds like the same thing that happened to the Lesson/Review status and Like Counter scripts last year.

Past Kumi did away with the issue like this:

It’s caused by the change of the header’s height to inherit rather than 4em . I didn’t figure out why that would cause it to jump when you do other things, but to fix it you can just change .float_wkappnav .d-header {height: inherit;} to padding-bottom: 2em and it will look just the same
