…somehow I have suddenly gotten intersted in the detective manga…and I keep reading the furigana of even those kanji’s that I know the reading…its certainly frustating that my eye first follows the kana instead of directly recognizing the kanji…kaniwani recall is not working…(sob) 
Honestly seeing pages so filled with text is a bit frightening at my current level. But if it was in English it’d probably only take a few seconds to read. Just goes to show how far I have to go
Don’t worry, you’ll get there! 
I know this feeling very well, but on the other hand, even reading kanji furigana-first – is still a good practice. It helps you memorize that reading, so that next time you see that kanji without furigana, you’ll be able to recall it!

Nowadays, when I have a lot of manga to read, I rarely read NHK Easy News…
However, they are still the most convenient Japanese resource to read on phone.
Thus, whenever I can only use my phone, NHK Easy News are my first choice to read.
Today I had to go somewhere and wait for something, so I used that time to read NHK Easy News. As easy as they are – they are still a good reading practice! 
I love Conan so much 
I feel like, the Japanese in the anime is fairly every day Japanese and the audience is all ages including kids, so it’s good practice and fairly easy to follow. I love the movies!!
The only thing is maybe you end up with a bunch of vocab that’s a bit out of place
殺人事件 (murder case)
連続殺人犯 (serial killer)
密室殺人 (locked-room murder)
拉致された (abducted)
証拠 (evidence)
動機 (motive)
共犯者 (accomplice)
etc etc etc 
So do I!

Fun fact: so does my Chinese teacher! She apparently was consuming the Chinese dubs and localizations and she told me that for a while she was convinced that Conan was actually Chinese because of how good the translation was. She was really happy when I showed her my physical volume of manga that I haven’t read yet!
Also, on my last flight with Chinese airlines to Japan, they only had a few anime series there, but one of them has been Conan with hardsubs in Chinese, at least the dub was in Japanese though ^^

Today I was mostly outside, so could only read on my phone.
My first thought was to read NHK Easy News, but then I remembered about コロコロコミック and decided to look what they have. It’s been a while since I’ve read anything there.
Found this series. It looked like an interesting series. Unfortunately, it later bacame too fanservicy for my taste 
Still, as right now I’m too tired to read anything else, I’ve decided to post screenshot from there as today’s screenshot.
