I am very close to 76 and am learning Japanese. I have time now as I’m retired, and I enjoy the study. Age means nothing if you are interested and put in the time.
My favorite Takarasienne is Haruno Sumire. I would love to know why she is not appearing in the Elizabeth Gala that is taking place in February and March. I have a few of her post-zuka shows, Don Juan, Mozart and Romeo and Juliette. As much as I love Takarazuka, it was a revelation to see non-zuka musicals. Ichimura Masachika appears in Mozart and I would love to somehow see the musical Ikiru that he starred in. I don’t think it was released. What about you? Who do you like?
Wow and here I thought at 29 that I was too old to study Japanese and that it was over for me that I should just give up because ITS OVER. Turns out, actually, its never over.
I don’t have a link right now but it is pennie (Or penny
) in Nagoya.
but from the 2 or 3 videos i saw it is 85% her life there and 15% about the school and learning.
Todoroki Yuu, but of course she’s retired (and really not suited for straight musicals, with men, though I’d love to see her step into the sort of small theater that Oozora Yuuhi, another favorite, is doing.). I do love Osa San - she’s a wonderful singer, but I suspect she’s sort of….had it with Elizabeth? I also assume she’s doing another show, as she works quite steadily. - 2 shows last year, one already this year….

(side note - the kanji in her name are just brilliant; she really thought that through, with all those horizontals, and the pun)
I didn’t know they had made a musical from Ikuru ,a magnificent movie! I have no idea if it was released, but I can ask around - I know people who like Japanese theater in general
