Level 16 and I feel like every second example sentence is some rubbish about these characters and while some of them are amusing, my heart sinks a little when I notice another. I know some people don’t read the sentences but I try to read them all and they are starting to wear thin.

当社トフグ、ならびに当社製品に関心をお寄せいただき、有難うございます。
FBIは、生存者を求めて、夜通しTofuguオフィスの中を捜索した。
この笑顔の素敵な男は俺の連れで、コウイチっていうの。
Tofuguは、火星での安定的で繁栄的な情勢を保持することに、微力ながら貢献したいと思います。
フグが先生の林檎に河豚毒を塗ったと疑われた時、クラスメート全員が彼は無実だと証言した。

Personally, I once considered picking out all the sentences about Salmon and Fugu and attempt to put all the fragments about their stormy relationship in chronological order.

Yes. Koichi is a character for sure.
Still, if they weren’t about Koichi and Viet, guaranteed for sure they’d be about Alice and Bob. Or Smith and Jones. If you’re going to pick a random pair of names to use in example sentences, you might as well go with Koichi and Viet.
Or random Japanese names so can get used to seeing them.
You’ll get sick of Suzuki and Yamada just as fast…
the mnemonic stories are sometimes bad though. I sometimes think of openning a topic to collect ideas to rewrite some of the “weird” stories and replace them in Wani. Hope that this is a constructive criticism 
I think so and while Suzuki and Yamada are very common names they are not the only names in Japan.
True, but they’re not about to come up with a fresh name every time they need a name for an example sentence.
@Anhle There is a “Community mnemonics” script you can use. I cannot say how good it is since I don’t use it, but it might be useful to you.

While I don’t mind, and personally enjoy, seeing koichi and viet in the sentences, I think there could be good value in using Japanese names - personally I struggle whenever I run into names (both in reading and listening) - and tofugu already has compiled a list of the most common Japanese names, so it’d simply be a matter of pulling one from that list…
So they can come up with an original sentence but can’t use a selection of common names?

I think every example sentence should use the same name kanji with different readings.
I didn’t know I am a topic in so many sentences 
寿司屋に行く途中、寿司に醤油をかけたら殺すぞ、という脅しを受けた。is the best example sentence anyway
