Yeah, not by itself, but I’ve come across the むろ reading in 氷室 (ひむろ). There’s also 室町時代 (Muromachi period)
And the city of 室蘭 in Hokkaido. 
Do you happen to have visited that place? 
No, I haven’t made it up to Hokkaido yet. Iwate is the furthest north I’ve visited.
