[JF Japanese e-Learning Minato]
is the free online version of Marugoto
Is sometimes available for free via USA public libraries. I use it for their word of the day.
This site is free and paid. There is also a blog for more reading.
I don’t see Shinobi Japanese in the list ? They have 400+ graded readers and now even a free library online to read some of the graded readers
I really enjoyed the beginner levels of Shinobi and am very glad that some of the readers are now available at that free library online.
Now, I understand that a lot of people are wary of using anything made with the help of AI, but nevertheless, Shinobi certainly deserves being on this list. It’s one of the easiest ways to get into actual Japanese reading! I only wish it existed when I started studying Japanese – it would have been a huge help!
Thank you again for making it!
could you please explain how shinobi uses AI? i couldn’t find any mention of it in their about page/faq/etc
i agree some use cases for AI in language learning can be okay, but i would want to which parts are handmade versus machine assisted
There’s a whole discussion in the following thread:
I don’t know if Crystal Hunters Manga was added, but it was a great resource for me.
Sorry for sudden delete I thought this was in a different thread and thus my reply didn’t make sense
Would anyone be opposed to apps/websites that use AI being marked as such?
Is whatjapanthinks website down for anyone else? To check I wasn’t hallucinating I put it in the wayback machine and confirmed it was the same website. Seems like the domain name expired.
Sad about this one because I like reading the articles when I was bored.
Hello, everyone!
Are there any website/database, where I can search for a word and get example sentences from manga?
There’s Game Gengo’s https://www.immersionkit.com/ for anime
- I would, because that would create bias against such sites
- I wouldn’t – people should be informed if an app / website uses an AI. Then they can decide for themselves
- I don’t have an opinion on this matter, but still want to click something
