Sorry for my ignorance, while this is an interesting an inspiring thread that in ways give me a drive to also improve my study habits to better grasp this language (especially now that I am back living in Japan most likely for good) I do not what some of the jargon here means. What are WK leeches, VN, BP, and JLab?

I simply reset my account to a lower level as I doubted I could get my enormous reviews brought down to what seemed to be a manageable amount in terms of actually learning the content.

Jlab’s beginner course - anki deck focusing on listening comprehension
VN - Visual Novel - I’ll be trying again to take my shot with it some time soon
WK Leeches - Reviews that I keep getting wrong - there are some scripts on this forum to identify them. Basically for this one I do a review of all recent mistakes, and If I still get some wrong I’m adding them to my anki deck. I’m using Chat GPT to generate the sentences and import them to anki
BunPro - another site for learning Japanese - first I believe it was only for grammar, but it expanded to be a complete learning experience (decks for words, listening/reading practice etc.)

Appreciate it. It seems I learn more from learning to read and after the city hall today and not fully understanding why they can’t change the spelling of my last name when they were able to do so for my wife, shared last name, I definitey need to get the language.
