The right pacing of doing lessons

I don’t use any re-ordering.

How many lessons I do depends on the item type:
Radicals: all of them as soon as they come up
Kanji: 5-15 a day, the hardest item type
Vocab: 10-30+ per day. If they are all easy combinations of the onyomi with obvious meanings I will go nuts.

I fell off the wagon from level 7-10 but my average for a level since then is 15 days.

I do take days off lessons completely when I’m having a bad day or am sick, but I try and keep up with reviews always.

Around level 12 I started to mix in grammar study with BunPro and Genki items on Anki. I add items to these very slowly though, as keeping up with my WK taxes my limits pretty closely already.

I make sure that my apprentice is between 40 and 50. That in turn gives me about 50 reviews a day. I do about 5 to 15 lessons a day depending on how many reviews I’ve got coming up on my timeline.

20 per day here, but there are some days that I have to skip because I won’t have time to hit the early reviews. Also, if I am sick, I tend to do 10 or zero because brain fog.

Seems to be working so far. I was doing crazy (like all of them) reviews for a couple of levels, and it went fast, but I retained very little. So I slowed it down and it seems to be working. I also added kaniwani, which I think is part of the help, and that adds workload that helps me to stay on pace with WK.
