there’s only like 50 tankobon of Initial D, I don’t see the problem
At least it’s one of the biggest selling mangas ever so it’s probably easy to get copies

I could recommend and nominate 史記 【超合本版】 - マンガ（漫画） 久松文雄/久保田千太郎（ゴマブックス×ナンバーナイン）：電子書籍試し読み無料 - BOOK☆WALKER - of 2,646 pages for IMC. Full of useful proverbs. 10-volume cluster, though.
3-volume free version = 842 pages.
1-volume version doesn’t seem available on Bookwalker.

ふたつのスピカ, at Natively level 24, is clearly too easy for this book club. The damage on our Japanese studies will be tremendous if it’s chosen! It could take us years to recover!

No, I’m pretty sure it’s Tongari Bocchi - the manga where Koko ends up practicing magic alone in her room because she’s so socially awkward, and then she somehow ends up roped into being in a group of mages because she brings her pointy hat to school in a bad attempt at making friends
