Yep, I can run Mushishi
I’ll make a home thread once I’m caught up with JoJo club stuff, so hopefully this or next week.

Yes I can run the club! I’ll make the home thread sometime this week
I have closed the previous poll
But without long forum discussions, I wouldn’t have anything to read!
Who knows, perhaps it was all the discussion that made the results end up like that, too Just like how some nominations get a boost when someone makes a good post about it during polling time.
Well, I mean, you apparently started the conversation with no opinion on the matter, sooo…
Kinda surprised that “random close time” scored so low. Only two votes for it.
Silver Spoon thread is live
Sorry for the delay, finally got her up!
Good thing there’s no living textbooks that would die if not read
Imagining the learner equivalent of textbook boys, ‘Wanikani-kun, Quartet-kun, 大丈夫???Shinkanzenmaster-san, I haven’t studied in a while, are you feeling ok??’
ふたつのスピカ book club is now commencing. All aboard!
NANA has now its own thread we start reading March 1st, I will remove it from the nominations.
The ちびまる子ちゃん nomination is just 77 yen an issue right now on Bookwalker, for all volumes, with 50% coinback. It’s a unique enough deep discount I thought it might be worth cross posting. See rodan’s link here: The BookWalker Freebies Thread - #952 by rodan
Okay my turn to nominate something:
Natively: Level 28
A long-eared boy living in a small village called Amun loved books, but because he was long-eared and poor, he could not use the village library. He dreamed of going to “The City of Books” Aftzaak, where discrimination did not exist. One day, the boy meets a librarian (kahuna) who works in the library of his dream city of Aftzaak. This encounter with the librarian changes the boy’s destiny… A lonely boy opens up his future in this otherworldly bibliophantasy!.
Physical: Amazon JP / Kinokuniya JP
Digital: Rakuten / Bookwalker
I’ve only finished volume one at the moment but it gives Witch Hat Atelier vibes, with the pretty art, and the protagonist is similar to Coco in that he wants to visit what’s basically the Library of Alexandria, but thinks that’s impossible for him to do, until a mentor steps in and provides guidance. There’s a good mix of text heavy pages and art pages. I’ve seen some higher level N2/N1 grammar points that I haven’t yet seen in other manga. It’s been described as a mix between Frieren and Ascendance of a Bookworm.
Pros
Cons
What is this and why is it a pro?
When is it not a pro? (The manga isn’t nsfw at all but I can fix my language if it’s a problem)
Ohh, good one. I read the first 5 volumes and I’m not sure I want to reread it so soon, but I agree it has major Witch Hat vibes, and I’d jump into an offshoot club if one forms up.
I just have no idea what you were saying
Does that make me old? shakes fist at cloud
