Personal Opinion
This is my personal favorite and one of the reasons for which I am learning Japanese is to re-read it. I think I am about to be ready for it, so I thought why not nominate it and see if there are more people who want to read it together.
Pros and Cons for the Book Club
Pros
- Very popular series, quoting Wikipedia: " In 2002, Nana won the 48th Shogakukan Manga Award for shōjo category. As of September 2019, the manga had over 50 million copies in circulation, making it one of the best-selling manga series."
- I never know what to write in pros / cons, if anyone has an input I’ll be happy to edit the post!
Cons
- The first volume doesn’t really have chapters and page numbers are not always visible
- A bit old (2000), I haven’t reread it as an adult and not sure if it is one of those that have aged well
- The series is unfinished, the last volume came out in 2009
