The End of Reality - 5 years to level 60

Hello everyone, I recently reached level 60 on WaniKani after around 5 years of regular study - it’s been quite a journey.
To celebrate, I figured I’d write something using a few of the kanji I learned. And to my friend Yuri, who helped me correct my mistakes,
(An English version is included below for those who are still making their way through the levels)

Hello everyone!
I recently reached level 60, but this is my first post. My Japanese journey began around five years ago, when I decided to take up a new hobby during COVID-19. Since then, WaniKani has been at the center of my studies, and I’ve discovered new passions, made new friends, and started to develop new ways of thinking.
My first trip to Japan was in 2023, when I went with my family to Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Takamatsu, and Ōtoyo (in Shikoku). That trip was a great experience, but it also made me realize I needed a lot more practice. I started listening to Podcasts and using HelloTalk. Because of that, I’ve made a wonderful new friend who I speak with every week on video call. This summer, I’ll take my second trip to Japan, where we’ll finally meet in Kobe.

For me, reaching level 60 on WaniKani feels like a turning point. However, Japanese is a journey with no end, so I’ll continue the adventure after turning this corner. So far, it’s been a very worthwhile adventure, so I’m looking forward to the future.
To the other Japanese language learners out there, keep at it! Move at your own pace. Learning Japanese is a journey, and by completing WaniKani as part of that journey, a wonderful new world will open up to you. I’ll keep doing my best as well.
To WaniKani Sama and the WaniKani team、

Congrats! I am half way there over 6 years (I died in the death stage for 3 years but finally made it into hell when I returned) so great job! I could read your passage with just a handful of lookups even at this level.
