Hi all,
I studied Japanese extensively in college and even majored in it, but after I graduated I stopped studying for some time due to other life events that took precedence. Now I’m upset that I have forgotten a good amount of what I’ve learned and intend to get back into it, and since it’s only been a couple of years since the last time I seriously studied I know a lot of it will come back to me, but since I’m afraid I’ve forgotten a lot of basics I am restarting at level 1. (I was only ever level 14 in WK but like I said I was a Japanese major in school so I knew much more kanji and vocab than that at one point - I was just introduced to WK late.)
That said, for those of you who have done similar things, what have you done to both allow yourself to relearn things you forgot but skip through stuff that never left? I’m also planning on going through my extremely extensive Anki (or at least parts of it) because I have thousands of overdue cards, so if anyone has tips for that I will be glad to take them as well.
Thanks for reading and hope to hear some great ideas in the replies!
