This has been mentioned plenty of times. The author is well aware of that. They are overloaded with work now so there is a delay. I recall they mentioned they hoped to get the missing parts ready somewhere in November.
Hey guys, I wondered if there is a way to get a display of my pre-reset level up and review accuracy data and so on? I only thought to make screenshots and such after the damage was already done, so to speak.
The info is there, but no way without lots of work to make it look only at the old data.
At best, you can open up the Javascript console and look at the data that it outputs on the Level-Up page. It shows resets and level-up times before and after reset, but no statistics.
Are the percentages shown under the reading chart referring to the amount of kanji known or the amount of vocab known?
It appears to be based of the amount of kanji known, if you check the source on the various reading sources you can find that the statistics on that page are based of kanji frequency data for the various sources. So kanji that show up more regularly in a source will contribute to the final percentage more than kanji that show up only rarely.
@BIsTheAnswer is correct.
Whatâs the exact source for the most frequent 2500 Kanji on wkstats?
[edit: spoiler: itâs newspaper articles]
I know itâs data from Aozora books, newspaper articles, Wikipedia etc (more specifically, from here or there), but is it aggregrated from all these sources? Or did you just take the Aozora data, or just the Wikipedia data?
It would be nice if your frequency page gave an indication (e.g. in a footer) what data it is based on.
But of course itâs a very minor issue, so donât worry about it if you donât have the time!
By the way, i love those lists, now i want to learn all the Kanji in the top 2500 missing from WK
(or at least the 110 in the top 2000)
Thanks for making this!
The list originally came from tangorin.com, but is no longer there. You can see an archived version at Common Kanji Vocabulary Lists · Tangorin Japanese Dictionary
Ah, so itâs based on newspaper articles. Thank you very much!
A minor thing, but maybe the âlevel up inâ estimate should no longer display once a user reaches level 60?
Since despite the projection, I donât think Iâll be leveling up again in a week.
@BIsTheAnswer is correct is the answer.
You are correct
When v2 of the site is finished, upon reaching Level 60 it will change to something like âAll-burned in:â
Hmmm, works fine for me though⊠(I checked all pages and did not get any errors)
Itâs probably corrupted cache in indexeddb.
In the Javascript console, try typing this command, press enter, and refresh:
wkof.file_cache.clear()
Hello How do I fix my stats so it no longer says level up in 0 everything? I have not leveled up yet, but it says I should be leveled up in 0 days, hrs, mins.
Itâs a prediction based on the speed at which you completed your previous levels (I canât remember if it was the mean or median, I thought it was the median). So if you take more time than average the counter will be 0 until you level up. On level up the number is recalculated taking the new level into account.
Ahhhhhhh I see! Thank you
I love the look of the new layout so far but used to find the âprojectionsâ very motivating. Any idea when this section will be completed?
I have about 2 weeks left on my work project, then I will resume work on wkstats.
