Writing this down in Japanese was a little difficult for me due to vocab issues. I hope the humor wasn’t lost in translation.
I wanted to write about the funniest thing that happened recently. It’s not a very classy story though.
Happy week 1 of challenge complete! Hope you all are having fun. I’m starting to see myself get a little faster with writing these diary entries, and slightly fewer grammar mistakes my first time through when draft. I think a furture entry will be about what tools I use when writing to check my grammar and message.
I need to step up my speaking game!
Edit: I also figured out for real, for real why my bookmark kept disappearing. I had at some point changed the setting on one forum topic from “keep bookmark” to “delete after I reply” and didn’t realize that it saved it as the new default behavior. How frustrating.
Argh, I planned on recording something, but here we are with more writing, I guess.

英語で「be fond of / have a weakness for」という意味だ。ソフトクリームに目がない他にも図書館で本を借りることにも目がない。でも、ほとんど読み終えないらしいな〜
Today’s been a strange day, both for me, personally, and the world at large. My recording’s a little bit ramble-y, maybe because of the heat. It doesn’t help that I once again left doing this for night, but at least I got to practice speaking this time.
Today I had a call with one of my tutors, so lots of speaking practise. We talked about the Queen, and about a trip my husband recently took to Finland.
As usual I wrote my diary but it was a bit of a boring one today so I’m just going to share a little snippet!
