I plan to write using the grammar points I study each day. I’m terrible at practicing output and want to improve my writing. I missed day 1 but wrote something for day 2 and will do my best to write each day for the rest of the month and try to keep the habit going throughout my studies going forward.
I took a nap yesterday, and watched some Netflix instead of doing my SRS, but I had a class, so I still got quite a bit of conversation in. I’m counting it!
Edit: did 2 grammar point to make up for missing yesterday, wrote 4 sentences. Grammar points were なぜならば〜から and こそ
I didn’t get any writing (or grammar study) in today, but I went to a Japanese lesson and had my teacher check the sentences I wrote. I think this will be incredibly useful, because he gave me a ton of good advice about the grammar points (including style, formality level, and which points to only study in preparation for tests, but which would sound really weird if I actually used them in conversation).
I guess my focus for the challenge is on writing, so I forgot that speaking is included. But I did a ton of speaking today, so maybe I’ll check the box, although I did not do anything toward my writing/grammar goal, except get my previous work corrected. Although the correction may actually be the most important part. /end{ramble}
Did the grammar point からこそ and wrote two sentences. I also rewrote my sentences from last week based on my teacher’s advice. I think からこそ probably has the same issue as こそ (according to my teacher) that it is very grandiose. So I wrote my example sentences with that in mind. We’ll see if I’m right about the tone when I ask him next week.
Yesterday I didn’t do any speaking or writing apart from the standard small talk conversations I get every day, so I’m not counting it for the challenge. Today I did 2 grammar points to make up for yesterday. They were both variations of ばかり.
