Sometimes my F shortcut doesn't work (Mac)

I use my MacBook to do my reviews, and whenever I get one wrong I press F to toggle the drop down that displays the correct reading, definition, etc.

About half the time, the F toggle won’t work and I have to manually click on the button to see the answers. Slightly annoying and I want to know how to get it to start registering the F toggle again.

I think it’s just something related to my MacBook and not related to the application. What do I click, type, etc., to get it back into that mode?

I’m not even sure if this question makes sense haha so if it doesn’t please let me know.

Are you using Safari? You could always try using a different browser

Have you been having any other keyboard-related issues? If so, is your macbook listed here?

If so, it could be a hardware issue. If you have a USB keyboard to test with. that might be a good way to isolate any issues.
