One of the things I still don’t have a good grasp of 中級日本語 are the many uses of よう、 in the sentence fragments below:
（１）… ご奉仕できるよう調教していただいた。
（２）ケヤル様の僕になれるよう精一杯お手伝いいたしますわ。
Is よう being used in the sense of purpose?
