Here’s just a regular sentence I learned yesterday.
後ろの席を振り返った。(ushiro no seki wo furi kaeta) I looked at the seat behind me.
I was actually really surprised by the meaning of furikaeta, at first I had no idea such a wonderful yet simple description could have existed.
Did you guys know this phrase before?
I found it in this 2 nensei book I’m reading.
You wrote it right in kanji/kana, but just to be sure, this is a godan verb, so the correct conjugation is furikaetta, with two t’s, in romaji.
I like verbs with suffixes like 返る. One of my favorites is 引っ繰り返る, to flip over.
