Screen jump up to different places when opening additional information

Hei, im using Safari 17.5 but I believe that the following inconsistent behavior when pressing the F + E for opening details should be browser independent (maybe is a feature, but for me is not ideal).

TLDR: The default section that open when pressing F is depending if is a vocabulary reading, kanji reading or vocabulary meaning. After opening that section and pressing E for checking other information, the screen will jump to different sections of the website. Would be great that is consistent or that at least the screen do not jump around

Details: Lets divide the screen in sections:

  • The Japanese section (Where either Kanji, hiragana o katagana is displayed)[class character-header character-header–vocabulary]
  • The section in English for explanations [id additional-content]

Now, when pressing F in kanji meaning, it shows the meaning and after pressing E the screen do not displace as is already “in the top of the information section” (so you still see only the additional-content section, and not the Japanese section). This is what I would expect always.

In the other hand, In vocabulary reading after pressing F, it show the reading but when pressing E, the screen jump all the way to the top of the website to show the meaning (it shows again the Japanese section what is not ideal)
Another example is pressing F in a vocabulary reading:
it open the reading, jumping to that section. Then when pressing E, it open the meaning section what cause a displacement of the screen all the way to the top of the website (so it display the Japanese section, what is not ideal).

Could be this be fix? is kind of annoying as is not consistent. Thanks!

Hey guys
It would be great to have an answer, even if is a negative “This is not in the pipeline”…

Thanks!

Hey there! Sorry that we missed this. I will pass off your information to the engineering team to see if there anything they can do about this! What OS (and version) are you using?

One additional question, what is your screen resolution on your device? The engineers would like to reproduce your environment!
