I cannot overstate the basicality of the questions I can ask. I’ll start preparing in the morning :3

The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask.

I can’t count the number of times someone’s question has made me realise that I actually didn’t understand a grammar point I’d thought I had.

Haha yeah, for me it’s like 80% of the time or so

@neriander These threads are made for asking questions  Also, don’t worry, quite a number of people will be (trying to) answer(ing), so don’t be afraid to send lots of questions! (But please try to search the threads first for previous answers, if at all possible…)

Just bought my copy in bookoff. I had a hard time finding it, since it has been promoted to “popular” and thus was in a different area.
The book club strikes again!
I wonder if that’s why @hachiken had troubles finding it as well…

What is bookoff?

It’s a chain of Japanese book stores.

The main point of bookoff is that they sell second hand stuff (books of course, but also video games, DVDs, CDs, smartphones…)
You can find manga for as little as 100 yen (+ taxes) over there. Sadly, the status of “popular” means that I had to pay almost full price for my copy of ゆるキャン…

Sounds cool!

I just noticed that the “△” in ゆるキャン△ is a symbol for a tent…
Tell me I wasn’t the only one…

It took me a few days to realize that too

Finished reading the first volume. It went okay. Some chapters were easy as hell and for some I had to hold takoboto open in my phone constantly haha. This was actually extremely fun.

Are you pre-reading, or just reading without us?

This looks really cute and not too moe and I love [the concept of] camping so I’ll probably join :star_struck:

Hello!

That’s my first post in the community. I was lurking for a while, and finally decided to join the fun!

To give a little background of myself, last December I passed the JLPT N4. With my goal of attempting N3 this winter, I want to get more immersed in genuine Japanese media. Unfortunately, as of now reading of “non-textbookish” texts quickly becomes tiresome and frustrating to me… I’m aware that it’s a hurdle that I need to pass as soon as possible, so I’m looking for a nice place to start. I think this could be it!

I hope this will be fun and valuable learning experience. I already made my order, and I’m looking forward to start!

(As you can also probably tell, I’m not an english native)

Pre-reading. I’m going to go back and read it again once the book club starts so I can see what I’ve missed/mistranslated.

@Risa judging by your display picture you might be interested? Also, hello

Hahahaha. I recently rewatched the anime to get some good vibes while being stuck at home.

But yeah, I would be interested! I didn’t know there was a book club for the manga and I haven’t read it yet. Just need to get a (hopefully psychical) copy of the first volume.
