Just had this lesson, and it said “This uses the on-yomi. You should already know how to read it.”
Except the learned reading for 封 is ふう and there is no other vocab that uses the ほう reading.
Please give mnemonic.
@Mods what do you think?
The kanji lesson for 封 does mention both ふう and ほう, and it gives mnemonics for both. The latter just isn’t mentioned again until this lesson, so I don’t blame you for not remembering it (I sure didn’t).
This is a thing that’s happened a few times with other words too. It is a little strange that they don’t give you a reminder for it, though.
I only remembered seeing ふう in the lessons page, but ほう is definitely there. I should have checked first.
I think that 封建主義 would definitely benefit from a reminder though.
I agree, we’ve been updating instances where there are no reminders, but there are probably a few more we still need to work on. I’ll inform the content team of this one.
Thanks for the ping!
We’ve made an update to the meaning and reading explanation for 封建主義 and added mnemonics to them now. Thanks again for the feedback.
Thank you! I just checked it out, and I really like the new mnemonic.
