笠松紫浪 全木版画集
Read pages 137 - 148 - it was generally believed that Kasamatsu started to carve and print his own works from the mid-50s and onward but there’s several prints back into the early 40s that have his 自刻 seal on it. So it isn’t really known when he started on fully being in control of his prints, it doesn’t help that there is hardly anything written by him - he never seemed to write anything down.

I like the effect of the ocean spray as it hits the rocks.

His choice of colour really brings out the details with his simplified linework.
連のかげー不忍池 (1956)
Another simple but effective print. And another of Shinobazu pond - the book does mention that he lived nearby and it seemed to be a favoured spot of his.
朝の波 (1956)
The colours in this one are just so good. I love the light reflections on the waves - the 金波銀波 (one of my favourite words). I love how real the water looks despite only being two different colour brushstrokes.

Read through the last few pages of the final chapter of ふらいんぐうぃっち 2 this evening 
In this chapter the group were picking wild fiddlehead ferns and leeks which made me really want to play a few more hundred hours of Stardew Valley. I wonder if it’s good to play in Japanese…

I started the next case called The Requiem of Rainfall Sound. It’s raining since several days without break. Masao arrives at the detective agency and finds a little boy together with Izuna. When the kid calls Masao uncle he gets worked up over it, which is kinda cute.
Thank you for always sharing Kasamatsu’s beautiful prints! They’re truly a feast for the eyes.
Now that there’s a native speaker made translation, I’ve heard it’s good! I keep meaning to play but haven’t had free time

・ドラクエ・ビルダーズ２「破壊神シドーとからっぽの島」
I forgot to say yesterday that I made it to the first mission of Furrowfield, which made it seem like I never made it off the Isle of Awakening, but nope. I very much did.
In any case, I didn’t make it as far as I’d have liked, but I did complete the first mission, which means I also got Clayton! I always find the interaction where you recruit him to be funny. I kinda wanna write a fic of how I think it would go were it more natural (i.e. not explaining game mechanics), but I’m not sure which builder I wanna use.
Ohh ! This is pwetty

愛でたいセンセイ２は読み終わった！
Finished the second and final volume of 愛でたいセンセイ today. Had an nice ending, but I’m sad that it ended so early (and that I only found out so recently). Alas; it was lovely fluff while it lasted, hah! Looks like the mangaka has another serialization in the works, so I’ll look forward to that. Hopefully it’ll be with another magazine that can support a yuri work better!
I did also do a bit of reading on Bird Site today. There are so many things I despise about that social media site, but unfortunately it seems to be the most universal place for manga updates and Japanese social media in general. I’ve been filling my account with stuff I like though so it’s starting to get interesting to check in on. Also helps that I’m understanding more and more!
Other than that, this week kinda wrecked me so I’m ready for a chill weekend. Might try to catch up with some of the serialized series I’m reading before starting はなにあらし２ with @Kami_Neko for our mini book club!!

Had such a busy day but finally sat down to do some reading. I barely did any WK today so still have a hundred reviews left and no time before bed. Why does everyone want to spent time with me 
I am very lucky. And grateful. But it’s not good for WK reviews lol
