Daily reading done
Omg this story is right up my alley so far. I’m sure it’ll have some roller coaster moments and head off in a crazy direction, based on what I’ve seen so far on Satori Reader
but so far it’s all about delicious food which is right up my alley. Hmm… is there a genre of manga/literature that combines fresh seasonal food, complex magical systems, and a main character who must master both in order to save the world?

Another three little chapters of スーと鯛ちゃん today. Despite what I said yesterday about this being a good read for when you can’t face looking up grammar, I actually came across a couple of new grammar points today and reinforced some that I’ve already studied recently haha! And so it was a good little reading session to end the day

Loran
9 out of 12 vocations learn spells, though only priest and mage know any at lv 1. So that leaves Loran with only 3 vocations he can safely level in. This guy’s really gonna take the revocation thing to heart in order to get everything. I thiiiink I’m gonna say spell-like abilities are on the table? He learns 3 recovery skills (Meditation and Miracle Slash for HP; Focus Pocus for MP) in the HD-2D remake, after all. And it seems that even the ones that count as spells for metal- and gem-family slimes’ spell immunity don’t when it comes to Bounce-type spells/abilities. I might make the call on an individual basis, though. Hm. Anyway, I made him, but I didn’t do anything with him yet.
I vacillated between doing my highest-level map (the level of the current map affects the quality of the new map) and doing new ones in the hopes of getting one with tantamounts. I had no luck on the monsters-I-wanted front. However! I finally got the Fuddle bow and Hela’s hammer, plus some lucida shards and angel feathers I’m happy not to have to craft. They’re actually kind of annoying despite their recipes not really being anything fancy. And! I finally, finally got the slime shield! I always have terrible luck with these, and it was the last G-rank item I was missing. (On the other hand, I think I’ve gotten 7 pairs of fingerless gloves by now?? Those are D-rank, but they’re both a 1% chance.)
It’s so cute
Side note: This is actually really similar to the outfit I had him in from Coffinwell thru Porth Llafan or so iirc. Obviously I didn’t have the Aliahan boots yet; he had the leather boots and iron kneecaps, then later jeans and iron sabatons. His shield was probably the shell shield? Then later upgraded to the iron shield. I don’t think we would have had the silver bracelets yet? but I’m not sure what arm gear he did have instead. Anyway, I’ve always liked the gaudy garb, and now he’s strong enough that he can wear this outfit again with few worries. I’ve always been a fashion quester, so I’m really hoping there’ll be cosmetic slots if we ever get a DQIX remake.
Other than that, I completed some quests, including the one where I get Erdrick’s shield! Just their armour and gauntlets left. I think I’m also down to two story quests remaining (and a few dozen non-story)

Had an upset stomach for most of today so didn’t really feel much like doing anything. Managed to burn through some reviews and a chapter of 恋より青く, but was having trouble staying engaged. Plus the doggos were unsympathetic to my woes, hah.
Probably gonna just catch up on some anime for the evening and zonk out.
Sounds like I should read this one once I’ve finished 聞き耳ラジオ!
I think I could deal with that knowing that there’s more to the story than just that… we’ll see! When I get tired of ふわふわ百合 I’ll give it a shot!

Read pages 13 - 16 - finished off the rest of the introduction/info section and now onto the artwork section!
Kasamatsu did his first few prints in 1919 but then didn’t produce any more for several years, the book says it wasn’t clear exactly why he stopped but it seems to be thought that he wanted to practice and refine his skills. It wasn’t until after he married and had a child that he started releasing prints again - with his next set of prints being done in 1932.
I ran into a ball of fluff and thought to share this

Loving this story but it makes me so hungry
thank goodness I happen to have some homemade jam and good loose leaf tea! Now I just need the bread Also, I have now fully caught up on all my WK reviews as of about 2 days ago, and I’ve been doing my 12 lessons a day since I got back, so all is well
Yes I can confirm it’s great so far! Warning: the first few chapters are basically 飯テロ (food porn) ahahaha
