・ 有限と微小のパン THE PERFECT OUTSIDER (74% → 88%) // Time: 2h 50m. Total: 22h 15m

This book feels easier to read than the book I finished yesterday :eyes: なんか以外だな。 The grammar is not too complicated. The vocab is more technical so it requires more lookups, but that doesn’t necessarily make it harder to read. All the 外来語 makes it easier and at the same time geekier for some reason. Well, the author of this book is a nerd, after all  Lots of focus on modern technology (as modern as it was 20+ years ago), its inner workings and philosophical ramblings, sprinkles of 外来語 here and there, sometimes 5 or more on the same page. 今はサクッと読めるわ、この本。Feels both strange and satisfying considering how much I struggled with the other books in this series. This is the last book of 10, btw.

Observation: I’ve noticed lately I space out more while reading (whether it’s actually more or not, dunno). Maybe it’s because it has gotten easier to read without “reading out loud” in my mind, i.e. pronouncing the words, and so my mind has room for thoughts roaming. Before I know it, I’ve read 2-4 sentences I got no recollection of and then I have to reread to attain what’s written. If I read out loud (aloud or mentally) I have full attention on what I’m reading again. It’s a bit annoying and at the same time I understand that it’s natural for the brain to wander. What’s important is to refocus one’s attention, closing the tab on the thought/digression.
