November 15
I played 英雄伝説 碧の軌跡 for two to three hours. There was no possibility to save in between, I had to finish the whole scene. Sometimes in the Legend of Heroes you have a hard boss fight and then a lengthy scene before you can save. No the game doesn’t auto save after a boss fight.
Lots of foreshadowing and we could see character from the other games showing up . To completely understand everything you need to play all the games in order.
Apparently things will happen on the third day of the trade conference. The situation is Crossbell lies between these two big countries. In other words it’s probably a question of time when they will be invaded.

I was wondering if this was going to be a more light-hearted humorous one again, since the title, but no, this one is rather serious.
My favourite aspect of Akutagawa’s writing so far is how well he conveys his imagery.
Read up to about the halfway point.

It is only Tuesday, but I’m so tired. I’ll try to sleep more tomorrow

The last volume of Jeweller Richard just came out. I still haven’t read any of the other volumes (I started the first a couple times but got distracted before I could finish the second case both times), but I’m still sad that it’s ended.
On the other end, I also learned today that 気になってる人が男じゃなかった is getting an アニメ化! No clue when, though; the obi didn’t say.
・104 pages of NO.6 #5, finishing the book!
Somehow I finished the volume today. I’m dropping the series after this. I can’t really put my finger on why, but I find the whole thing kind of obnoxious and/or boring, and my curiosity about how it ends no longer outweighs that. (I mean, I do hate like half the characters, but that ain’t all of it. [Shion is cruel for thinking of you as a dear friend but not returning the romantic part of your feelings? Wow. WTF.] And it doesn’t help, either, that now a baby has been added to the cast.) I shouldn’t have bought the entire series when the only thing I remembered about the anime was that I liked it as a teen, and there are a lot of things that I liked as a child or teenager that I no longer do, but alas. I’d say I’ve learned my lesson, but I don’t think I ever will lol
Not sure what I’m gonna read next. Maybe give Jeweller Richard another go, maybe read one of my newer books.
19th november
my most productive reading day in a long while. bakumatsu book had a surprise slam dunk reference so there’s that? finished my manga read and yeah, it’s fully b-movie popcorn fare (i mean this in the best way possible). it’s a complete mess, the writing is kind of bad and has zero subtlety (there’s a trans character whose shirt literally says ‘transgender’ on it) but that’s part of the charm i think. i might pick up more of this if i need something silly.
in other news i’m finally in chapter 2 of steins;gate (just the ten hours, woof) and finished mood machine last night so need a new book. i’ll see if the library has any sequels to things i started and never finished.

I played a bit 英雄伝説 碧の軌跡. Back to doing random tasks, it all feels like the calm before the storm like major things are going to happen soon.
