two more chapters of 3月のライオン, thankfully easier than the ones from yesterday, plus another chapter of hotel dusk. i’m not sure we’ve reached peak coincidence at this hotel yet but we’re getting close. apparently there’s ten chapters so i’m over halfway there!

Day 29: Finished off the entire first chapter of volume 1 of わたしの幸せな結婚 (the manga) and sprinkled in 4 pages of 夜警 too~
Finally the story in 夜警 started being a bit more lineral / less vague, so I’m able to follow better. 😆 I thought it was me having trouble with the Japanese, but no, it’s just me struggling with the narrative jumping around. My brain is just slow 🤧.

Today I read all of chapter 4 of Everlasting Flowers. The music and the art in the VN just pull me in and I’m unable to stop. I have no idea how many characters that was, but it must have been more than 10.000. I’m so glad that I have found VNs! Reading them is my favorite way to consume Japanese now.

Tiny read. Takes me back to the days when I was reading 1% on most days as a student. I even did a TINY [reading challenge](https://community.wanikani.com/t/x/53285/60) where I was typing all my updates in tiny.
I have driving lessons at 6 am so I’m going to sleep early. Wish me luck.

The newspaper article for today was an [article](https://www.newsweekjapan.jp/stories/world/2024/10/521438.php) in newsweek japan about the addition of new members to the BRICS group.
Played a bit more Abyss of the Sacrifice and finished chapter Wings this one has some awesome puzzles.
It’s interesting depending what route you play the game goes into a different direction.

I have just started Semantic Error in Japanese. I’ve barely touched it (three pages, which are super long), but at least I have watched it before, so I know the story. Reading is definitely not my strong suit in Japanese since I spend less time on it than listening.
Edit: page 26, 6% in and still loving it.
Edit 2: I am officially at page 200. Buying a kindle was the best decision.

- Another little bit of 元かれの猫. Managing somehow. The slice of life segments are always easier than the business bits.
- Finished 甘々と稲妻6, some nice family stuff. First time I’d seen the terms for great-grandma in a story.
- Started 乙女の帝国1 casually to see if I could read it or not … I reckon I can, though it’s actually a bit too risque to read on the train, I think.

10 pages of the Orange Light Novel today - pretty pleased with myself because I only usually have the stamina for 3-5 pages!

A chapter of とんがり帽子のアトリエ - I struggled a bit with this. Probably I’m just tired though - I’m on a big family holiday and climbed a (small) mountain this morning, so I think I can cut myself a bit of slack.
